Our new Director of Business Development, Michaela Schuette, has hit the ground running in her new role. From the moment she joined our team, Michaela has demonstrated a commitment to networking, leadership, and embodying the heart and soul of our company.

Jumping into Leadership

Michaela’s first few weeks have been packed with opportunities for growth and connection. She’s already been interviewed as part of our team’s ongoing efforts to highlight leadership, sharing insights into her vision for the future. In September, Michaela attended an HBA orientation, where they quietly but confidently joined a dozen other participants in learning more about the organization. They met key committee members and discussed leadership opportunities, particularly Michaela’s growing role in the industry.

Michaela was nominated for the HBA Emerging Leaders program, aiming to deepen her industry connections and leadership skills. She was accepted and formally introduced into the Emerging Leaders 2025 Class at the HBA’s Annual Meeting featuring Land Forum and Expo Happy Hour.

Networking with Purpose

Networking is at the heart of business development, and Michaela has embraced this aspect of her role wholeheartedly. A standout moment was her participation in the HomeAid Grapes and Growlers event, where she connected with industry peers, including a great moment captured with Stephanie Graham (photo above).

Michaela has also been actively preparing for the upcoming Professional Women in Building (PWB) event on November 8th, where both she and Lita will attend, strengthening ties with industry leaders.

Engaging with the Team

Behind the scenes, Michaela has been traveling to different installations, collaborating closely with our leadership to handle proposals, contracts, and other critical business initiatives. She’s been welcomed with open arms by our team and is already an integral part of our operations.
