At Lita Dirks & Co., we believe in growth, passion, and the power of returning to what you love. Today, we are thrilled to announce the return of Kelly Armstrong, a former team member who has come back after 15 years to once again share her talents and enthusiasm with us.
A Long-Awaited Return
Kelly’s journey back to LD&Co. is a heartwarming story of reconnecting with her passion. When asked what inspired her return, she shared, “I previously worked here at LD&Co. fifteen years ago. After exploring a couple of new careers and taking time off to raise our son Jace, I recently felt the calling to return to interior design. I was definitely missing it. I’m excited to be back, learning and growing with familiar faces and new ones. Everyone here has been wonderful.”
It’s always special when someone returns to the team, especially when they bring new skills and life experiences to enrich our company’s culture. In Kelly’s case, her journey over the past decade and a half has added even more depth to her already impressive design expertise.
From Mindset Coach to Interior Design: A Journey of Growth
Kelly is not just an experienced interior designer; she’s also a certified mindset and life coach. Reflecting on the growth that has shaped her into the person she is today, Kelly explained, “I’m a brand new person even from four years ago. If you’re not learning more about who you are and growing, you’re dying. I love teaching and coaching other women to see the world and their environment in a new light, reminding them that they have a choice and don’t have to settle.”
This philosophy of constant growth and helping others thrive will no doubt be a wonderful addition to our collaborative culture at Lita Dirks & Co.
Life Outside of Work
When she’s not designing beautiful spaces or coaching others, Kelly loves spending time with her family, especially watching her son Jace play football and basketball. She’s also passionate about being outdoors, whether it’s traveling, gardening, or soaking in the Colorado sunshine with her dogs on long walks.
Unexpected Adventures and Lessons Learned
Something many people may not know about Kelly is that she and her family moved to Kentucky for two years before realizing that Colorado was truly home. This adventure gave them a fresh perspective and allowed them to meet incredible people they’ll never forget. As Kelly puts it, “Sometimes God takes you places to get a new perspective and see what He really wants for you.”
Living Life by Design, Not by Default
Kelly’s approach to work-life balance is as intentional as her approach to interior design. She believes, “Balance isn’t something you find; it’s something you create.” Her philosophy is simple yet profound: envision what you want your daily routine and career to look like and be intentional in creating it. This mindset, combined with her life coaching background, will no doubt bring a unique and motivating energy to the LD&Co. team.
Kelly’s return to Lita Dirks & Co. is not just a professional homecoming, but a reminder of the importance of following your passions and designing the life you want. We are incredibly fortunate to have Kelly back on our team and can’t wait to see the new heights we’ll reach together!
Welcome back, Kelly! We are excited to see how you’ll continue to inspire us all.
