There’s something magical about gathering with your work family right before Thanksgiving. Yesterday evening, our team came together at La Loma for what we lovingly dubbed the “Gobble and Sip Happy Hour” — and it was exactly the warm, joyful kickoff to the holiday season we all needed.

The rich aroma of La Loma’s famous green chile drifting through the air, and the sound of laughter mixing with clinking glasses of margaritas and seasonal cocktails. Chips, guacamole, street tacos, enchiladas, and more than a few orders of their legendary table-side guac filled the table. It was comfort food at its finest.

But the real highlight wasn’t just the food and drinks — it was the gratitude.

We went around the table and shared our holiday gratitude through sharing traditions and family gatherings plans.

There’s a special kind of bond that forms when you’ve weathered deadlines, big wins, and late-night projects together — and moments like these make that bond even stronger.

By the time the sun set over the downtown skyline, we were all a little fuller, a lot happier, and completely ready to slide into Thanksgiving weekend with full hearts (and stomachs).
