Zena and Cassy just wrapped up two apartment model installations for Continental Properties – and shared some sneak peek pictures with us! Zena’s favorite part of the design process is moving from conceptual ideas to creating thoughtful, beautiful spaces based on the people who use them. She brings a personable, collaborative approach and enjoys working with clients to collectively merge thoughts and ideas in the creation of their ideal space. She was able to blend all of her favorite things into the model installs in Minnesota and Wisconsin!
Springs at Willowbrooke: Oakdale, Minnesota
“The key piece or pieces that drove the design of this space are the illustrated prints that hang above the sofa – they set the tone for the entire space and are fun and playful – showcasing local landmarks in a unique way. I chose Voyageur Brewing, Canal Park Boardwalk, and Black Beach.”
Authentix: Cottage Grove, Wisconsin
“My favorite piece in this design is the classic looking blush rug which was the inspiration for the space. It offers a beautiful vintage look that complements the artwork and statement-making pieces of furniture. I love that the art over the sofa resembles the rug; it’s almost as if the painting is a close-up of the rug as it draws the mood and colors from the same palette.”
The dynamic duo got to sneak in some local favorites of Wisconsin; falling in love with Tavernaka at dinner, across the street from the Wisconsin State Capitol building!
